About Sunrise Point

Sunrise Point is an elegant gated community located inside McDowell Mountain Ranch. It was developed by Engle Homes and consists 174 homes. Sunrise Point contains two different types of homes: the Villas, patio style homes, and the Estates, single family homes.

In 2000, prices for the Villas began at $209,900 for the Saguaro model and went as high as $232,990 for the Acacia model. Currently home prices range between $500,000’s to the upper $600,000’s. The highest valued homes contain the most striking views.

The Villas offer 4 single-level floor plans. These plans range from 1430 sq. feet up to 1824 sq. feet. All four of the models consist of 2 bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The Palo Verde and The Acacia models include a den which could be transformed into a third bedroom.

Prices for the Estates began at $239,990 and went as high as $289,990 in 2000. Today prices range in the $700,000’s and the $800,000’s.

The Estates at Sunrise Point offers 4 unique floor plans, 3 single-level and 1 multi-level. These floor plans range from 1792 sq. feet to 2704 sq. feet. Each of these models offered two different exterior “elevations”, giving the community a unique and varied look.

Sunrise Point has no walls or fences separating the individual houses, giving the neighborhood an open and spacious look. For a small homeowners association fee landscaping maintenance is included. Other amenities included are tennis courts, negative edge pool, spa, and fitness facility.

Sunrise Point is located west of the mountain preserve and east of the Cimarron Hills. South of Sunrise Point the community of Sonoran Estates can be found, while Cimarron Ridge community is located to the north. This perfect location gives homeowners glorious city light and mountain views.
