About Armonico
Armonico consists of 195 homes and was developed by the Centex Corporation. Centex has an outstanding reputation. Armonico is located in the northeast corner of McDowell Mountain Ranch and is situated at the base of the McDowell Mountains and the entrance of the Sonoran Preserve.
There are nine different floor plans, which ranged in size from 2,409 square feet to 3,527 square feet. Three of the nine are 2-story homes. Each model was offered in three different exterior “elevations” and also had a number of customizable exterior options, which gave the community a more varied and attractive look. The 2-story homes all have dramatic curved stairways and two of them had optional bonus rooms, which, if chosen, could, increase the size to as much as 3,833 square feet. One of the six single story models, the Tierra, had a great room plan.
All of the homes are graced with a custom carved oak entry door and have a 3-car garage as a standard feature. In 1997 the pricing began at $269,700 for the 2,409 square foot Tierra model and went as high as $330,500 for the 3,527 Ladera model. At present, prices range from $750,000 to over $1,000,000. Higher values are going to the larger homes with more desirable features and views.
