About...
McDowell Mountain Ranch Park & Aquatic Center is a 75-acre park that has 3 soccer fields, 2 lighted ball fields and restroom.  This facility offers swimming to the general public, high schools teams, competitive teams, water exercise, recreational teams, swim lessons, water aerobics classes, and fitness classes.

The aquatic facility has an 8-lane (25 yard) lap pool, a dive well with 4 diving boards (2) 1-meter and (2) 3-meter, 1 large tube water slide, 600' lazy river, beach-like zero-depth entry into a large play pool with water play features, and an interactive spray pad.  There is turfed area with barbeque and shaded areas, veranda seating with a view of the pool area, party island with seating at the lazy river, and a Public Art Component.

The fitness center has machine weights, dumbbells, and cardiovascular machines.  A variety of fitness, aerobic and leisure education classes as well as nutritional and wellness classes are offered.

The Skate Park is 16,000 square feet and open to all skateboarders and inline skaters.   There are street-like components such as tables, benches, planters and ledges.  Additionally, the skate park has a deep bowl at its deepest area.   Bikes including BMX bikes are not permitted in the Skate Park; this is to preserve the safety of all patrons and the structural integrity of the facility.  For more information, please see Frequently Asked Questions.

Fees...

Fees for the pool and fitness center are on a drop in basis, no membership required.   Daily fee for adult lap swim and fitness center is $2 resident and $3 non-resident per visit and for children (under 18) is $1 resident or $1.50 non-resident per visit.  Adult public swim is $6 resident and $9 non-resident per visit.   Child (under 18) public swim is $4 resident and $6 non-resident per visit.  Adult Passes for lap swim/fitness center can be purchased for 10-visits ($20 for resident or $30 for non-resident) or 30-visits ($60 resident or $90 non-resident).

Scottsdale's Summer Family Pass allows families of all sizes unlimited public swim and fitness center visits from Memorial Day through Labor Day.   A family that visits a city pool an average of two times a week could receive a substantial savings over the drop-in price when using the Summer Family Pass.  Family Passes can be purchased by Scottsdale residents and include unlimited public swim, lap swim and fitness center visits.

At McDowell Mountain Ranch Park and Aquatic Center, the cost of a Family Pass for families up to six members costs $400, and $80 for each additional family member.   The McDowell Mountain Ranch Family Pass is good at all four Aquatic Centers.   All aquatic classes require an additional registration fee.  For more information, call (480) 312-POOL.
